Hidden Defect V

The series Hidden Defect is done. I thought I had finished it earlier but, yesterday, I found in my mess one more photo, and it is my favourite one. Actually, I did not notice the shadow!

Summer comes...

I hate Summer! Personally, Summer stands for "Summer jobs". I have to find a job during my holidays to pay my studies, and to be able to afford equipment to make photos and illustrations . Nowadays, it is so hard to find something you like, or something you can stand... I always try to find jobs in museums, librairies, bookstores. As always, it is not possible; in the end, I work in a school to take care of horrible children, or in a supermarket. That's life! I hope someday, I'll work in a museum during Summer. I hate Summer. I hate heat. Looking forward to seeing snow.

Beckett on stage

On May, 9th 2009, A friend asked me to take photos of a rehearsal - in which she played - in Palais de la Culture. The play gathered severeal works of Beckett: passages of Waiting for Godot (1952), Come and Go (1965), Rockaby (1981), Rough for Theatre I (late 1950s), Rough For Theatre II (late 1950s), Happy Days (1960) ... My favourite one was Rockaby. The girl was amazing and beautiful. It was the first time I took photos in a theatre - I must admit it was very difficult, as it was very dark and it was not easy to take photos of Someone in movement and avoiding blurred photos.

Contemplation

Today, I submitted a new photo for the DeviantArt contest. The contest deals with the theme "Good vs. Evil". I worked hard on that photo and I tried to avoid Manicheism and naivety. I hope you'll like it. I worked above all on the colours and the setting. Not so many textures as I do usually ;) a change for the better?

My Mother's tapestry - Episode 2

I uploaded more photos of my mother's tapestry - Verdure - this is the tapestry I've been trying to sell on Etsy (150$). At the moment, there have been only 84 views, and nobody seems to want to buy it. Is it the price? Too expensive? Or the photos? Too bad to see something? Or because my page on etsy is unknown? I always have problems with the Advertising thing... If you do have some advice, I'd love to hear them. Have a nice Sunday evening.
